For low pressure conveying of air or gas, Northey can offer a high quality range of centrifugal fans. Available in a wide range of sizes and configurations, these fans can operate at pressures up to 180 mbarG (18000 pa) and flows to 140 m3/min (8400 m3/h). Options also include; high temperature designs, increased sealing, corrosion protection and special voltages and frequency.
Low Pressure - Within the fan range, the lowest pressure models can be supplied to handle flows of 100 m3/min (6000 m3/h) to pressures of 20 mbarG (2000 pa). They are generally of cast aluminium construction with impellers of galvanised steel sheet and integral motors. Clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation is available, along with two-step speed and frequency control. Many special executions are available to cover a broad range of applications. |

Medium Pressure - While the flow range remains similar to the low pressure models, the pressure capacity is increased to 100 mbarG (10000 pa). These models again come in numerous configurations and are available in different designs to suit customer requirements. |
| High Pressure - The high pressure fans are the biggest in the range and have a maximum pressure handling capacity of 180 mbarG (18000 pa). They again come in a variety of configurations, including both direct and belt driven options. Body material is the same as the low and medium pressure models but the impellers are constructed in sheet aluminium. Applications include; combustion air supply, drying, air cushion tables and even low vacuum. |  |

Variable Speed - With the continuous drive for process efficiency, the variable speed (frequency controlled) models offer maximum operating savings to our customers. The speed can be set from zero to the maximum possible flow for each particular model. No derating is required across the whole speed range. Differential pressures of 170 mbarG (17000 pa) can be achieved with flows to 100 m3/m (16000 m3/h). |
